* Messrs Levin & Co’s Report, We offered to-day 80 bales of wool, 2000 skins, 175 hides and a quantity of tallow. Crutchings ruled firm at last sale rates—superior selling at sfd, medium at 5d to ssd, and inferior at 3|d ta 4|d. Skins.—There was a strong demand at prices in sellers’ -favour. We quote: Merinos, 6£d to 7d; halfbreds, 6Jd to 6fd; fine crossbred, 6&d to 7d ; coarse, 6|d to 6fd; short wools, s|d to 6d ; dead Ibins, 4|dtosJd; butchers’ green, 4s 9d to 6s each. Hides.—Prices were again |easier for heavy hides. We quote; -Cows, light, 11s to 15s; medium, 16s to 17s ; heavy, 17s to 18s. Ox,, tight, 18s to 20s; medium, 21s to 22s 6d; heavy, 23s to 26s 6d. , ' [ . Tallow.—Rough fat, 14s to 15s ; tallow in tins, 15s; casks, 17s. Wellington, 2nd Sept., 1904.
