THE PALL OP LIAOYANG. General Oyama reports “ After fighting at night and renewing it on Sunday morning, Liaoyang fell entirely into our hands. The casualties are heavy.” RUSSIANS UNDERGO NEEDLESS SUFFERING. * Russian papers have published horrible details of needless suffering? of the sick and wounded. Medical necessaries, even clothes, are' unavailable. An immense procession is parading the streets of Tokio shouting “ Banzai ” (Hurrah.) St, Petersburg intelligence states that rumours are abroad that General Sfcakelburg’s force of 25,000 men of the First Siberian Army Corps are cut off west of Liaoyang. General Sakaharoff reports that the Russians on Friday assaulted the heights of Spywantun and after a desperate fight captured the whole chain. It was then discovered that the Japanese were in great force extending from Yentai to Taitse. During the retreat Stakelburg’s First Siberians extricated General Orloff and a detachment, which was threatened with annihilation after an unsuccessful attack on the Japanese flank. Orloff was seriously wounded. The Russian cruiser Don lies at an Island, at the entrance to Vigo, awaiting the departure of a British steamer from Vigo, suspected of carrying guns under coal.
