A Tremendous Fire.
PETROLEUM WORKS ABLAZE. A tremendous fire is raging at Boken, three miles south-west of Antwerp, Belgium. The conflagration is likely to continue for some days. A leakage from the Russian Petroleum Company’s tanks caused an explosion which set fire to forty thousand tuns of oil, including the American Standard Oil Company’s stock. Six workmen have perished. The damage already is estimated at a quarter of a million sterling,
