AN EXPLANATION.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE MAN.VWATU HERALD. Sir, —As it seems to be generally understood that it was the Awahou team that played Sandon yesterday, and which were so badly defeated, my club wishes me to let the public know that the Awahou Club had nothing whatever to do with the team represented. I understood that the team picked was a representative one, consisting of players from, all FoxtO'n teams. I am, &c., }oE JILLETT, , * Sec. Awahou F.C. tbxtOC, 4th Aug., 1903.
