FOXTON v. SANDON." "

Yesterday afternoon the. Sandon football team journeyed to Foxton to try conclusions with a mixed local team. The game was anything-put interesting, the local men being simply outclassed in all departments, the scores at the finish of the game being Sandon 34, Foxton nil.

The following players nave been picked to represent their respective clubs:—

Wright, W. Coley. Emergs. —Backs, G. Lees, W. Cook; forwards, B. Brown, E. Saville. Kiwi.—Full-back, J. Dunn;,s, W. Hooker, Pake, Donovon; five-eights, McClusky; half, Sevan; wings, NewJtb, White; forwards, Hattan, McKenzie, Desmond, Curtis, Broad,. Herbert, Pope. . - !'7 Motuiti. —Tuna, Reweti, Reihana, Robinson, Roia, Teri, Pera, Kera, Hana, Meta, Potaka, G. Coley, Dunn, Broad, Alcorn. Emergs.—A. Symons, Taylor, Harrison. , f Kiwi and Motuiti play first on Saturday, the match to start at 1.45 o’clock sharp; Awahou v. Hiiia then try conclusions. Awahou and Kiwi both ought to win their games. W. Stephens, a one time Foxton boy, but lately of Palmerston, is evidently showing good form, as fie was among the team that won the junior seven-a side tournment in the latter town.

We hear that a return match is soon, to take place between the Wanderers and Old Boys, and, as both teams are doing fast work, an interesting go can be looked forward to.
