Fatal Accident.
PLATELAYER KILLED. [ A {folly/ loaded with railway material, whichUftti being used by four platelayers, gob; but of control between Cross Creek and Pigeon StWh on Thursday, afternoon, and r ran down the Incline'for a distance of about half-a-mile. In trying to atop the trolly Thomas Ruane fell under it and was killed instantaneously. Eventually the truck capsized. David Saining, who was thrown off, received severe injuries to the head, and is now lying in a critical condition in the Greytown hospital, whither he was taken by special train Ruane leaves a widow and nine children. - The other two’ platelayers got. clear of the truck before the accident.
