THE SIEGE OF PORT ARTHUR. TWO FORTS CAPTURED. The Japanese, on Wednesday, cap*, feared two small forts ten miles ftask of Port Arthur. Shells from land and sea are dropping into the town.
RUSSIAN WARSHIPS SUNK. ESCAPE 0F VLADIVOSTOK SQUADRON.
The Russians have strongly fortified mountainous posts parallel to the railway, having constructed covered trenches and entanglements. There are five miles of entrenchments. The largest guns are opposite Liaoyang. The Russians have occupied Taling Pass, south-east of Haicheng, Admiral Togo reports that a Russian guard ship, resembling a battleship, was torpedoed and sunk, also a Russian torpedo-destroyer was sunk at the entrance to Port Arthur on Monday night. The Vladivoqtock squadron, undo? Admiral Bezobrazoff, with which Admiral Kamimura was reported to be fighting, has escaped.
