WINTER SHOW. The Winter Show and Poultry exhibition to be held at Palmerston North on June 21st to 24th inclusive by the M. & W. G. A. & P. Association promises to be a great advance on that of last year. To meet the greatly increased demand for space required in the dairying machinery division, considerable additions to the present buildings and conveniences are in course of erection. For instance, last year 60tt of 2|-in shafting was sufficient for the machinery in motion, whereas for the Show next month, the shaft ing has been increased to 160 ft in length. To meet the promised support in the Poultry, Pigeon and Canary division from breeders both in the North and South Island, a finely ventilated building has just been erected ; it is evident that the attention devoted to this division is keenly appreciated by exhibitors. What with the gathering of those interested in the many departments of dairy work, the annual conferences and meetings of these bodies during the Show week is evident the poultry and dairy farmer and those engaged in dairy factory work, are being catered for on a very extensive scale ; in fact it is doubtful whether there is a similar gathering of its kind in the Australasian colony. Intending exhibitors are reminded that prize lists may be had post free from the Secretary. Entries close positively on the 9th June.
