iWpecial meeting of the above Council was held last night at the %,'Library Buildings. Present—The M'a,yoiT and Cra Symon«, Gower, fepeirs, Coley, Baker, Ovorcnd, Stiles and Austin. Tenders were opened for clearing drains. Proposed by Cr Gower, seconded by Or Stiles, That J. Hurley’s tender for Baker street and Symons’ outlet, and F. Petersen’s tender for No. 2 Line be accepted. Carried. Proposed by Cr Coley, seconded by Cr Stiles, That 9 new copper lamps be procured to tit in to the present posts. Carried. The Council then adjourned.
