Foxton Athletic Club.

A meeting of the Committee of the above was held in Mr Smith’s rooms on Saturday evening. Present —Messrs A. D. Clemett (chair), and L. Wilson, M. Perreau, A. Shadbolt, R. Baker, F. Robinson and W. Cook. It was proposed by Mr Shadbolt, seconded by Mr Wilson, That the Athletic Club make an offer of £3O to the Foxton Borough Council to assist improvements to Victoria Park cycle track according to specifications submitted by this Club, and a committee consisting of Messrs Clemett, Smith, Martin, Cook, Wilson, Perreau and Shadbolt wait on Council to explain matters. Carried. Proposed by Mr Smith, seconded by Mr Clemett, That a vote of thanks be passed to St. Patrick’s Day Sports Committee for kind donation of £3 8s towards Foxton Athletic Club’s improvements to cycle track. Carried.
