Marriage.

ROBINSON—-WEBB. A very pretty wedding was solemnized on Thursday last, when Mr Fred. Robinson, of the Seventh New Zealand Contingent, and third son of the late Oliver Robinson, of Taranaki, avus united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Miss Emily Webb, second daughter of Mr Henry Webb, of Fox.ton. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. W. Harris at the residence of the bride’s parents. The bride, who was given away by her father, "wore a hand-, some tailor-made costume of navy blue cloth, with a very pretty silk vest to match, and a black picture hat prettily trimmed with red flowers and black chiffon, and carried a shower bouquet; she also wore a handsome gold brooch and gold watch and chain, gifts of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids were Misses Myra and Hetty Webb, sisters of the bride, Miss Robinson, of Shannon, and Miss Katie Spelman. The two elder bridesmaids wore pretty dark dresses and picture hats, and handsome gold bangles, gifts of the bridegroom ; the younger two were dressed in white and wore gold bells, the gift of the bridegroom, and carried baskets of flowers, Mr Ed. D. Webb, brother of the bride, officiated as best man. At the conclusion of the ceremony a large number of guests sat down to a sumptuous wedding breakfast, after which the bridal party were photographed. The presents were both numerous and handsome. During tb® afternoon the happy couple left on a short honeymoon tour amidst hearty congratulations and good wishes for their future happiness. In the evening Mr and Mrs Webb dispensed liberal hospitality i to a large number of friends, who \ spent a very enjoyable evening. The usual “tin-can” serenades were m great evidence, and went away highly satisfied with the manner in which they were entertained.
