Messes Abeaham & Williams, Ltd., Stock Repoet. At Palmerston on Thursday we had a full yarding of both sheep and cattle. The attendance was good. All classes of sheep met a good demand, bidding being brisk throughout the sale, and only one small pen of lambs was passed out unsold. Young cattle and dairy heifers, also, sold' readily, but the demand for grown bullocks was limited, although we eventually managed to quit all 2 ". t two pens. We quote— Sheep; Forward wethers, 15s 43 to 15 s 9d ; store wethers, 14s to 14s Gd ; 2-th wetners, 11s 6d to 13s 2d ; fat ewes, 18s 8d to 18s lid ; forward ewes, 12a to 12s 9d; store ewes, 9s 6d to 11s; cull ewes, Gs to 7s; woolly lambs, 9s 5d to 10s 6d ; shorn lambs, 8s 6d to 9s Bd. Cattle; Forward bullocks, £6 8s 6d ; 2i to 8-yr bullocks, £5 13s; 2 and steers, £4 14s; 2-yr steers, £4 7s 6d ; fat cows, £5 15s ; forward cows, £4 13s to £4 15s; store cows, £3 12s; yearling and 18-mth heifers, £2 17s ; heifers in calf, £3 14a; weaners and yearlings, 85s 6d ; weaners, 25s to 335.
