A dozen Radicals voted in the minority. The Ti rues reports the Thibetans were posted on heights above Red Idol gorge. The British silenced their guns and the Pioneers forced a passage. Two hundred of the enemy were killed, while the British casualties were ten slightly wounded. The report adds that the arrival of the mission at Gyangtse will not be further opposed.
