The Salvation Army.
A GREAT SCHEME. General Booth is organising an Imperial Labour Bureau for sending submerged emigrants where most needed. One million pounds sterling is required to develop the scheme. General Booth hopes the British and Canadian Governments will subscribe £50,000 each, and the Australian and African States are to be asked to vote similar amounts. General Booth is to visit Australia in a few months to negotiate with the Government. A conference of Salvationists from all parts of the world will shortly be held in a huge structure which is being erected on vacant land in the Strand.
