Dowie’s Disloyal Utterances.
.. ■ - STRONGLY CONDEMNED. At a meeting of the Adelaide City Council the Mayor strongly condemned Dowie’s disloyal utterances. He said lie was thankful Dowie was not a British subject, and regretted he belonged to rl nation on the friendliest terms with the British'Empire. He asked all to reprobate Dowie’s action by standing and saying with him “God save our gracious King.” All responded. The Mayor was specially thanked for refusing Dowie the use of the Town Hall. The use of the city baths for immersing converts was also refused.
