There was a good attendance and spirited bidding for sheep, whilst the cattle were all disposed of with the exception of two or three pens. At Palmerston on Thursday we had a large yarding of both sheep and cattle. The sheep went off freely under the hammer and cattle showed an improvement on recent sales, more particularly for store cows. Shannon. —Sheep: Fwd wethers.. 14s; 2 and 4-th do., 11s lid to Kjfl 8d; breeding ewes, mixed ages, IOsJ 10s 4d, 10s lid ; others, 6s 8d to 7s 7d; 2-th ewes, 11s 7d to lls 9d; forward lambs, 9s 6d ; others, 4s 7d to 6s 2d.
