BLINDS A MILLIONAIRE WITH YITROIL.

Mrs ’ Belfield Marais, and her daughter Aileen by her first husband, quarelled with Piet Marais, the millionaire, whose son married the first-named contrary to Piet’s wishes. Piet had cut off some of his supplies. The mother and daughter were dining at the Mount Nelson Hotel, Capetown, as the guests of a visitor. Piet was sitting at another table, when Aileen, aged fifteen, crossed the room and blinded him with vitroil, and there is a possibility that he will succumb to his injuries. The mother was arrested.
