SHANNON HACK RACING CLUB.
Splendid weather prevailed for the annual meeting of the above Club, inducing a record attendance. The y coarse was in first-class order, and*some very interesting racing was witnessed in several of the events.
Bookmakers were present in great force and appeared to be doing good business.- The Club have made ex-
tensive improvements to their ground since last meeting, the judge’s box', buildings, &c., having been shifted to
the opposite side of the ground, thus doing away with a sharp turn into the straight, which used to take some (■jWiating at former meetings. There TTs unfortunately two accidents, and these occurred in the District RaceWild Irish man slipped his shoulder soon after the start, and Irish Airs pulled up with an injured hip.
