At Palmerston on Thursday there was a good demand for sheep, and with the exception of one line of ewes, all lots were sold at good prices. Cattle were in short supply. One line of bullocks came forward which were sold at ys 6d, the balance of the entry .being composed of odd lots of young cattle and store cows. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Palmersten North, report as follow At Palmerston on Thursdaywe had a small yarding of sheep, consisting principally of store wethers. There was a very small attendance, owing, no doubt, to the band contest,, and very little business was done under the hammer. We were, however, successful in placing practically the whole of the yarding at satisfactory prices.
