Messrs Abraham & Williams, Lm, Stock Retort. At Shannon, on Friday last wo had a medium entry of sheep, but a good yarding of cattle. There was a good attendance and a good demand (or all classes of stock. A general Clearance resulted. At Palmerston, on Thursday, we had a large yarding of sheep, but cattle were in fewer numbers than usual. Good sound sheep met with a good demand, but inferior sorts afid poor lambs were neglected. The cattle entered comprised mostly second-class weaners, which were at lower iralues, A jine of bullocks were good value for the price realised-—£fl 6s. We quote— At Shannon— Sheep Breeding ewes, sound ,mouth 10s 6d to 11s Bd. othesfs, 6s Sd to Bs, good lambs 8s Bd, 9j3, J)8 9d, culls Bs, 2-th wethers 10s sd, Romney rams £1 Is to £1 6s, Cattle—2|-yr steers £4 5s to 101, 18 mths do. £8 2a to £8 11s, yearling do. £2 8a to £2 Bs, weaners 26a to 87s 6d, cows in calf £8 11s to 6s, heifers in calf £4 6s. At Palmerston—Sheep—Fat and forward wethers 14s sd, 2-th do. 12s to l2s 6d, 2-th ewes 12s lOd, mixed ages 10s lid to 12a 2d, aged ewes Bs, 8s Bd, 8s 9d, 8s lOd, to 9s Bd, fat ewes 12s 4d, forward lambs 7s 8d to 9s, others 4s to 6s Bd, Romney rams £2 2s. Cattle—Forward bullocks £6 6s, 18-mos steers £3 2s, yearlings 84s, poor weaners 11s 6d to 235, forward cows £8 17a 6d to £4 14s 6d, empty heifers £2 12s 6d to £3, store cows £2 7s Gd to £B.
