Eaces Nos. 3 and 7 (first day), and 3, 6 and 8 (second day), are open to all horses, the rest of the events are for hacks only. Penalties. —“ Flat Eaces—The winner of any flat race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of Mbs, and of every additional race a further penalty of Gibs. Horses handicapped at Bst 101 b or over to carry only half the above penalties. “Hurdle Eaces”—The winner of any hurdle race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 101 b in the hurdle race, and for every additional race Tibs extra. Nominations for all events, except Maiden Hack Hurdles and Maiden Hack Eace (first day), and Electric Hack (second day), close with the Secretary at Foxton on MONDAY, January 4th, 1904, at 9 p.m. Weights for first day’s races will be declared on or about January 14ih, 1904. Acceptances for first day and entries for Maiden Hack Hurdles and Maiden Hack Eace (first day), and Electric Hack (second day) close on MONDAY, January 18th, 1904. at 9 p.m. Weights for second day’s races will be declared on FRIDAY, January 22nd, 1904, at about 8 p.m. Acceptances close same evening at 9 30 p.m. Definition of a Hack.—A. Hack means a horse that has not at time of entry won a race of the value of 80 sovs, or races of the collective value of 200 sovs since Ist August, 1899, and is not nominated in any open race at the meeting. Every entry must state the name, or as ■ sumed name of the owner or owners, and name, age, pedigree and description the horse, together with the colors of rider. No horse will.be’allowed to start whose fees are unpaid,'
