Whitehouse’s Bioscope Company.
Last night the above company appeared at the Public Hall, which was only moderately filled. However, those who were present had a very cheap two hours’s enjoyment. The entertainment was both interesting and edifying, and was really worthy of better support. The bioscopic views were to be seen very clearly on the' screen, and received well-merited applause. The graphaphone which Mr Whitehouse has with him is, no doubt, one of the best which has been heard by a Foxton audience, and the selections which were heard on this instrument were both enlivening and up-to-date. Perhaps the best item on the programme was the musical selection given by Mr Fitzpatrick on two brass whistles. This performer also gave the audience a further taste of his musical abilities by playing on a banjo and mouth organ at once. It is claimed that Mr Fitzpatrick is the champion performer of New Zealand on two brass whistles, and from what we heard of him at the Hall last evening, we think he is well worthy of that title.
