The Fiscal Campaign.
MR CHAMBERLAIN AND HIS
PROPOSALS
Mr Chamberlain, in a letter to a correspondent, states he is sanguine that the policy hitherto only sketched out will, when thoroughly understood, commend itself to the workers. “ All their interests," he adds, “ depend on their full employment at fair wages. This can only be permanently secured by some changes in the tariff system. The latter, if instituted, will create a totally different state of things than that which is now prevailing.”
