Foxton Racing Club.
A Committee meeting of the above Club was held on Friday evening. Present—Messrs Jenks (chairman), 0. Robinson, J. Overend, A. Laing, E. Smith,, J. Symons, H. Thynne, and Secretary. The minutes of previous meetings were read and confirmed.
Correspondence was read as follows:
From Messrs Neylou & Spriggens and Messrs Cohen, Marett & Fox, re working totalizators. Prom Christchurch Press Co., conveying thanks for donation towards production of “ Turf Registers.” Proposed by J. Symons,- seconded byH. Thynne, That Messrs Neylon end Spriggins’ offer to work totalisators be accepted. (Carried.) Accounts to the amount of £BIO 12s were passed.for payment. The Secretary was instructed to draw up programme, to submit to.» Committee at the next meeting, for their approval. Before closing, the Chairman mentioned with deep regret the loss the Club had sustained through the death of Mr Walter Robinson, bad been a member of the Committee for a number of years and took-a great interest in the affaire of .the Club.
The Secretary was requested to write to Mrs Robinson expressing the heartfelt sympathy of the Committee in her breavement.
