Wellington Wool and Skin Sales.
Messrs Levin & Co., Ltd,, report:— We offered to-day 25 bales of wool and 1300 skins, the break in the Wairarapa railway line having prevented a considerable quantity of produce arriving in time for the sale. There was good competition and prices remained at the level of last sale. There were only a few hides offering, but those forward brought good prices. We quote— Merino skins, 6^to yd; halfbreds, to 6£d; fine crossbreds, sid to s^d; coarse, to s|d; dead, 3d to 3fd; lamb skins, 3d to’ Ox hides, 17s to 22s 6d; cow hides, 13s 6d to 15s 6d. Wellington, aßth August, 1903.
