Attempt to Wreck a Train.
It has been reported that a deliberate attempt was made last night to wreck the train. A post had been placed across the rails in the cutting between the Lady’s Mile and the township, but the object was noticed in time to. prevent probable disaster. The police have the matter in hand, and it is hoped their efforts to find the culprit will be successful. Detective Benjamin viewed the locality this afternoon. '
