The Glasgow Accident.

CARELESSNESS OF THE DRIVER. The driver of the train that crashed into St. Enoch’s Station at Glasgow expected to proceed to the long platform, and did not shut off steam in time to stop at the short platform. The brake power was insufficient to stop the train. Fourteen persons were killed and fifty others injured, twenty of them seriously. The driver has been arrested. Many of the victims had to be cut out of the wreckage.
