LEVEE AT DUBLIN CASTLE. At the levee at Dublin Castle presentations to the King were made in the following order: —The Lord Chancellor (Lord Ashbourne), Arch bishop Walsh (Roman Catholic Archbishop of Dublin and Primate of Ireland), the Protestant Primate (Most Rev. J. F. Peaoocke, D.D., Archbishop of Dublin), the Presbyterian Moderator. This was the first official representation of the Catholic Church at Dublin Castle" for many years. MILITARY REVIEW. In presenting the colours to the Hibernian Military School, King Edward recalled the fact that he performed a similar task fifty years ago during his first visit to Ireland. The Sovereigns reviewed fifteen thousand troops commanded by the Duke of Connaught. < They also attended the Phoenix Park races, dined with the Duke and Duchess of Connaught, and held a Court, at which eleven hundred persons were present at St. Patrick’s Hall. THE KING VISITS THE SLUMS. The King visited the Corporation dwellings, and afterwards, on hie own impulse, went through several alleys in the slums where he visited in 1885 when he attended the Royal Commission on dwellings and gave £IOOO for distribution amongst the poor of Dublin. In the afternoon their Majesties proceeded to Newtownards, County Down, where the Marquis of Londonderry entertains them.
