(Before Dr T. Bennett, J. P.) Monday, 13TH Jdly. /Joseph Nicholls was charged with breaking and -entering the shop of. William Loveday and stealing therefrom 8 ties, 2 pairs braces, 6 white shirts, i portmanteau, 2 silk handkerchiefs, 14 tennis shirts, 2 brushes, 4 sweaters, x cap, 1 suit clothes, 1 rng, t dozen studs, ot tbe total value of £l4 ios, the property of the said William Loveday; ' Constable Forster asked for a remand until next Tuesday, 21st July. The accused was arrested on Saturday, and there were other charges pending against accused. The accnsed, on being questioned, said he did not wish to make any statement. ■ „ , The Bench granted the remand. Bail was not asked for. ~this~Fay. (Before Mr T. Westwood, J.P.) John McKinley was charged with disorderly conduct and’ drunkenness, and was convicted and discharged.
