Dix’s Gaiety Go.

The advent of the fine company to be introduced to Eoktorl at the Public Hall on Thursday evening marks an important epoch in the local theatrical world. It will be seen from the advertisement appearing in another column that the members of the coming company are one and all of high rank in their profession, and they form a combination of quite unusual strength. Arnoldi is a famous English equilibrist, and some of his feats surpass those of the great Cinquevalll. His “ Human Bilked Table " act promises to provide the greatest sensation ever seen on the local stage. Sherwin, the mad musician, gives a musicial turn, which is described as clever and unique as any witnessed in the colony. Another renowned artist is Mr Jack Hearns, an undeniably and clever humorous entertainer. With Miss Ida Rosslyn, the favourite Aus tralian soubrette, he appears in an act rich in comedy, song and dance. Me Ernest Hill is a bass singer with a pleasing voice; and Miss Emmie Smith, the talented American actress, is said to be the most handsomely dressed woman on the vaudeville stage. Little Vera Reams is the cleverest child performer Mr Dix has imported, and the sisters Gillardi are fascinating song and dance artists. Miss Hilda Eoilder provides the musicial overtures and accompaniments, and under Mr Henry Gee’s management the company has all elements necessary for a successful tour. The demand for seats at Mr Alf. Eraser’s is very good, and present indications are for a bumper house.
