.The House of Commons is considering the Irish Land Bill in commiitee. Mr Redmond’s amendment to abolish the maximum limits of rent reduction, and to extend the minimum to which the Bill restricted the Commissioners, was rejected by 217 votes to 176. Eighty Liberals voted with the Ihihority on the amendment. 1 The Times, commenting on the division, says the result was a foregone conclusion.
