(Before A. Greenfield, S.M.) THI?DAY. CIVIL. H. Robinson v. Hohepa.—•Claim £5. Mr Reade appeared for plaintiff. Judgment by default for amount claimed with costs 143, solicitor’s fee, 15s 6d. E. E. Smith Vi W. Darvill.—Claim Mt Reade appeared for plaintiff. Judgment by default tor amount claimed with costs ss, solicitor’s fee ss. G. H. Stiles v. A. Morgan.—£3 15s 6d. Judgment by default with costs ss, solicitor’s fee ss. _ J, H. Hankins v. C. Nelson.—£6o 7s. Judgment by default with costs £1 ns. Inspector of Nuisances V. W. F. Gray,: for breach of Borough Bye-laws. Mr Hankins appeared for defendant, who pleaded guilty to both charges, and was fined 5s on each charge, with costs ySi Patrick Francis Allen was charged being a near relative, with failing to support Agnes Allen a destitute person also Joseph . Julian Allen charged similarly. No appearance of the latter. The former pleaded not guilty. Mrs Allen gave evidence as to the ability of the defendants to Contribute to her support; had received £$ in the last n months from Patrick ;,tha latter stated he received 23s per week; an order to contribute 33 per week was made. The other case was adjourned to 18th July to enable the Police to make inquiries. Police v Priscilla Wilson charged with stealing 2 bags of shells the property of Charles Anderson. Mr Reade appeared for the defendant. After hearing a lot of evidence the Bench dismissed the case. (Left sitting.)
