A Forgotten Sacrilege.

* ' Some twenty-eight yeara ago .bur* glars broke into 'St. George’s Cathedral, Capetown, and stole among other things a valuable piece of communion plate. All efforts to trace the culprits failed, and the affair was soon forgotten. A few nights ago, however, a stranger visited the Dean of Capetown, and on entering hit study displayed the long lost silver paten. His story was that while lunching in a restaurant a man offered to sell him “something good,” which turned out to be the missing plate. The informant states that he bought it lor 2s 9d, and wished to see it replaced in the cathedral. The paten is quite uninjured, and will now be devoted to its proper use. An inscription will ' be placed upon it telling its strange story.' ■ . ■
