Death of Max O’Rail.
The death is announced of M. *Paul Blouet, aged fifty-five years. Paul Blouet—-or Max O’Rell-—was bom in Brittany in 1848, and received his education in France, taking the degrees of B.A. and, B. Sc. He received Ms conmissioh in the army in 1869, and fought in the Franco-Prussian war, being taken prisoner at 1 Sedan in September, 1870. He fought against the Comnune, was severely wounded and pensioned He went to England as a newspaper correspondent. He was French Master 'of St. Paul’s School in 1876 resigning in 1884. He is the author of “ John Bull and his Island,” “John Bull and His Daughter,” “The Dear Neighbours'" “ Drat the Boys,” “ Friend MacDonald,” and “ Jonatham and His Continent,, The latest, “Between Ourselves,” has been very widely read. About ten years ago. Max O’Rell made a lecturing tour through America, Canada, South Australia and New Zealand,
