Irate Father’s Will.

An? interesting case has just been settled by the New York Supreme Court, in which a married, daughter contested her father’s will, which disinherited her. The plaintiff in the case was Mrs Louis Herzog, the wife of a New York artist. Her father, the late John MoOomb, a millionaire who lived in a beautiful estate on the Hudson River, threatened to disinherit her if she married the artist, who was a poor man. Despite the threat Miss McComb married Mr Herzog, and when, after her father’s death, the will was read it was found that he had absolutely cut her off. She contested the will, with the result that the Supreme Court awarded her £BOO,OOO from her father’s estate.
