(Before A. Greenfield, Esq., S.M.) Saturday, 23R9 May. criminal. Stock Inspector against Charles F. Easton. Mr Duncan said the charge was for allowing pigs to wander about the slaughter house. The Department desired that this should be stopped. He did not press fcr a heavy penalty: Defendant pleaded guilty; Fined 20s and costs. Stock Inspector charged John W. Walsh with feeding swine upon offal that had not been boiled. He wa# also charged with having failed to keep slaughtering place clean. Defendant pleaded guilty in each case. Fined 10s and costs 7s in each ease. Building Inspector v. Mark Perreau. He was charged with neglect of building regulations. Defendant said he had put up no building but merely a tent in his own yard. Alt Fraser stated Perreau wrote for permission to erect this lean-to, and he had replied that permission could not be granted until the by-laws were complied with. Perreau admitted receipt of letter. The Magistrate said he thought the by-law did not refer to temporary buildings or tents. Case dismissed. John Currie was charged with tethering a horse on the public road. Pleaded guilty. Convicted and fined ss, and costs 7?. Alfred J. Tozer v. L. E.,Reade. — Claim £2 15s 6d. Mr lanes appeared ifor defendant. Mr Hankins for plaintiff applied for adjournment to next Court day,*
