SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE MANAWATD HERALD.

Sib, —I wish to correct a misstatement of fact that appeared in your columns last Saturday. There was no resolution passed by the meeting of householders, but the subject you mention was brought up by a householder. He was promised that the matter would bo brought before the committee—this was done, with the result that the committee took no action as the matter was not officially before their notice. Also, the committee did not desire to interfere with the Board’s re-arrangement of the School’s inspection. Thanking you for space. 1 am, &c., Thos, Westwood, Chairman Fo*toa School Com.
