In 1886 he married again Miss Sophia Fraser, a sister of Mrs Jenks and Mrs Fred Carter, by whom be has a family of five sons. The deceased was both well-known and popular in the district, and he •arned the character for being mosl scrupulously honest, disliking to owe any man anything, to ensure which he periodically stopped his hemp mm to clear all outstanding accounts off, and to bo assured by his bank balance that bis position was impregnable. He was 58 years of age. . The funeral took place this afternoon, the coffin being taken to All Saints’Church when the Rev. H. r.
