District Electors’ Roll.
There having been some comment upon the space of time which must elapse between additions to the l roll of electors and an election, we quote section 20 of the Municipal Corporation Act, 1900, dealing with the question:— (1) The district electors roll shall be deemed to be dosed at five o’clock in the afternoon of the fourteenth day proceeding the day appointed for any election or poll, and'shall continue closed until the election is completed or poll taken. (2) Except pursuant to appeal under section nineteen hernof, in cases where the appeal was pending at the time when the roll was closed, no alteration or addition shall be made in or to the district electors’ roll for any district or subdivision whilst it is closed m aforesaid.
