Somaliland.
A force of West African Rifles, supported by mounted infantry and a camel 'corps, dispersed a strong body of Somalis at Lasakante Wells, near Bohotle. Seventeen of the enemy were killed, and numerous prisoners were taken. Three hundred Yaos tribesmen, under British officers, defeated a large force of Somalis at Walway on the 3rd inst., killing thirty and capturing six hundred camels and five thousand sheep. The enemy repeatedly tried to rush the British square. Pursuit was found to be impossible. On the sth inst, Colonel Cobbe surprised and dispersed a large party west of Galkau, killing ten and capturing fifteen hundred camels and six thousand sheep There were no British casualties. The Mullah has retreated to Harradeget.
