Wool Sales.

The Department of Industries and Commerce has received the following cable from the Agent-Gene-ral, dated March 11th The London wool sales have commenced. The present series’include 76,000 bales, against 5'4,000 bales for the same series last year. There is a large attendance of Home and foreign buyers, and active competition. The closing prices of the last series for all grades of fine and crossbreds are well maintained; but all grades of coarse and medium crossbreds are Jd per lb lower.
