The Easter Encampment.

Captain Walsh has received word from Lt.-Col. Watt in which he expresses his opinion that the Mayor and citizens, have been most liberal, The Colonel has applied for pervasion to hold the camp here, and when that is settled he will come down and put everything into training. He also suggested that as Mr Mclntosh was to be here last night, Captain Walsh and the Mayor might see him re water. We are empowered to say that this was done, and in compliance with the wishes of the Mayor and Captain Walsh, Hr Mclntosh will allow the force pump at the railway windmill by the racecourse to be used for the water supply of the encampment, and the Mayor has generously promised to find the necessary tanks for temporary, use. This little matter obliterates the smallest idea of there being any scarcity of water, the thought of which was so painful to our Palmerston contemporaries. We . are evidently getting along the right way.
