Strikers—Present and to Come.

Two hundred and fifty Virginia miners went on strike at Charlestown. Armed with Winchesters, they resisted the efforts of a hundred federal officers to serve inj actions. For several minutes firing took place Three of the strikers were killed, six fatally injured, and three badly wounded One officer was killed and two were wounded. Forty strikers, chiefly foreigners, were arrested. IN HOLLAND. Dr Kuyper, the Dutch Premier, has introduced a Bill forming a railway brigade for the purpose of supplying regular services in the case of strike He has promised an inquiry into the' present railway grievances. In consequence of the expected strike on the Dutch railways, soldiers are occupying the railway stations, armed with ball- cartridge.
