RECORD SHIPMENT OP BUTTER. The largest butter shipment that left New Zealand was sent away by the Papanui lor London on Thursday morning. It amounted to 1113 tons, made up as follows: —From Wellington, 641 tons; Taranaki, 277£ tons; Patea, 193£ tons; Auckland, 153 tons; Lyttelton, 75 tons; Dunedin, 59 tons; Bluft, 14 tons. On present quotations the value of the butter at Home is £lO5 per ton, which would make the butter in the Papanui holds worth £116,865. In addition to the butter there are 275 tons of cheese on board—lss tons from Wellington, 91 tons from the Bluff, 19 tons from Lyttelton, and 10 tons from Dunedin. Cheese at Home is quoted at £62 a ton, and at that price the shipment is worth £17,050. On the same working the total vahie of the dairy produce on the steamer amounts to £133,913, Post.
