King Alfonso.

While King Alfonso XIII and his mother, Queen Maria Christina were returning from church at Madrid on Saturday evening, a man named Feito fired a pistol at their carriage, without, however, injuring anybody. The King put his head out of the window upon hearing the report, Queen Christina pulled him back. Feito was arrested. He declared that he meant to kill the Duke Sotomayor, Grand Chamberlain, whose carriage preceded that of the King. Letters addressed to President Roosevelt, King Edward VII., the Kaiser and the Czar were found in Feito’s pockets. He denies that he is an anarchist, but admits that ha was once in a lunatic asylum. The men is clearly insane.
