Poultry Meeting.
A moating of (host who are faking the initiative steps towards forming aa association in connection with the above was held last night at 8 o’clock at the Good Templar's Hall. Other attractions interfered with tbs attendance, which was not B0 t large at it might have been. Mr Hennessy occupied the chair. It was proposed by the chairman* seconded by Mr Ballard, That the members fee be ss, and that a show bn held in July locally, boundary to take in Taikorea to Oirona Bridge mouth, and Manawatu River. Some discussion ensued as to bility of making the competitioißPß the poultry classes open, l.ut the motion to make it purely a local one was carried.
A suggestion was also adopted to be confirmed at the next meeting whether some other attraction such as horticultural, industrial or other kind shall be held at the same time.
Proposed by Mr Mitchell, seconded by Mr Hennessy, That the following be a committee, with power to add to its number :~-Messrs Loveday, Ray, King, Hennessy, Mitchell, Ballard, Wilson and Baker.

tickets be obtained, and members canvassed for as soon as possible. The secretary read the rules of the Manawatu Poultry Asociation, which with slight alterations, met with the approval of the meeting, the same to be adopted at the next meeting. Messrs Hennessy, Mitchell, Loveday, Wilson and Baker were appointed a sub-committee for the purpose of obtaining new members. Proposed by Mr Hennessy, seconded by Mr Mitchell, That the second Wednesday in January be the date for holding the next meeting. The meeting then adjourned with a vote of thanks to the chair.
