Children’s Sports.
In another column appears a very attractive programme of sports, which will be held on the afternoon of Wednesday, 17th inst. The ture has really been arranged solely for the juveniles’ benefit, r </K i some fine trophies (many of which wo have seen), have been generously provided by several townsmen and mercantile firms of Wellington. Overend), on Wednesday next. It has also been decided to give the children a good time in the way of refreshments, a committee of ladies having this in hand, and probably a children’s concert in the evening will be held. The committee are sure to make a great success of the day’s sports, n;ud we quite expect it to be a record in the number of children will be present in Victoria Par’* 0n the occasion.
