Weight, 9 stone. Entrance, 20 s. To start at 4.45 p.m. Races Nos. 3 and 7 (first day), and 3 and 6 (second day), are open to all horses, the rest of the events are for hacks only. Penalties. —" Flat Races—The winner of any flat race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of lOlbs, and of every additional race a further p-nalty of 6!bs. Horses handicapped at Bst 101 b or over to carry only half the above penalties. “Hurdle Races”—The winner of any hurdle race a'ter declaration of weights to carry a penalty < f 101 b in the hurdle race, and for every additional race 71bs extra. Nominations for all events, except Maiden Hack Hurdles and Maiden Hack Race (first day), and Electric Hack (second day), dose with the Secretary at ) oxton on MONDAY, January sth, 1903, at 9 p.m. Weights for first day’s races will be declared on or about January 10:h, 1903. Acceptances for fir-1 day's races close on THURSDAY, January 15th, 1903, at 9 p.m. Entries for Maiden Hack Hurdles and Maiden Hack Race (first day), and Electric Hack (second day), close on THURSDAY January 15 h, 1903, at 9 p.m Weights for second day’s races will be declared on Thursday, January 22nd, 1903, at 8 p.m. Acceptances close same evening at 9 30 p.m. Definition of a Hack.—A Hack means a horse that has never won an advertised race exceeding 40 sovs (Hack and Hunteit races excepted), and is not nom’nated in any open race at the meeting, or that has not at time of entry won a race of the value of 80 sovs, or races of the collective value of 200 sovs since Ist August, 1899. Horses < ligiblo for Hack Hurdles are those which have never won an open flat or open hur He race exceeding 40 sovs. Every entry must state the name, or assumed name of the owner or owners, and the name,- age, pedigree and descript on pf the horse, together with the colors of the rider. The advertised fee must in every case accompany nominations and acceptances. All races to be run under the “Rules of K»cing,”
