State Coal Mines.

The matter of the State coalmines was considered at a recent Cabinet meeting, when increased expenditure was decided upon, with a view to the opening up of the mines at Coal Creek and Cardiff as early as possible. It is probable that Mr A. B. Lind op, late manager of the Westport Coal Company’s mines at Denniston, will he appointed manager of both the State mines.
