Nominations to dose with the secretaries, Foxton, and Mr R- W. Armit, 51, Lambton Quay, Wellington, on October 21st, at 10 p.m. for the following events: —Nos. 3,4, 10, 12, 14, 16, ‘lB. 20, 2i and 23. No nomination will be accepted on any account without proper entrance fees, and a statement of all public performances for past two yeers (matches included); if not any, the last five performances to be given. Handicaps will appear in N -Z- Times on or about October 28.
Acceptances close on ground. % Compelitors in amateur events must be members of the N-Z.A.A.A.
Three competitors to start or no Ist prize: four, or ao 2nd ; five, or no 3rd. All competitors must be on their marks at the appointed time for each event, and anyone not answering the starter’s call may be disqualified. The Committee may require any competitor to prove his identity further than by declaration should they think fit to do so, and will reserve the right to strike out any event should there not be sufficient entries to satisfy them.
Competitors leaving their mark before the pistol is fired will be put back one yard for each offence, and anyone not going back when required may be disqualified. Snap-cap no start. Any competitor found jostling will be immediately disqualified. All protests must be made within 15 minutes of race finishing, accompanied with a deposit of 10s, which will be forfeited should the protest be considered frivolous, and all protests against competitors entering under false or incorrect performance shall be decided at 8 o’clock in the evening, or later if the Committee deem necessary, and all prize money held over. No competitor shall be allowed to sit on any protest, nor give any information unless asked for.
The Committee reserve the right to postpone the sports from day to day should the weather prove unfavourable, and their decision shall be final in connection with carrying out this programme. Costumes to be approved of by the Committee, and any person not running in the colors sent in will be fined 2s fid, and any competitor not making the required declaration shall not be entitled.to claim any prize. Admission to Ground, Adults is; Children under 12, half-price.
Refreshment Booth on the ground. Special Trains from Feilding and Palmerston North. Excursions on river for visitors. A Brass Band will be in attendance. Concert in the evening. Programmes can be obtained on application to secretaries. S. \ Joint E. E. Smith | Secretaries.
